First Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol and there still has not been a replacement announced, but now Ellen Degeneres has decided to leave after only one season of being on the show. Ellen has said that she told the producers months ago that the show didn't seem like the right fit for her. Also her schedule has become more than what she bargained for. She enjoyed being on the show but at the same time she didn't like always having to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.
The first person on the list as a replacement for Ellen is Jennifer Lopez. I know that it is a singing show and not everybody thinks that she can sing but she did good enough to have 4 albums with plenty of sales. Maybe this will shoot the ratings up even more because she is a well known name. This might be a good idea for the show. Also it depends on who is going to be the replacement for Simon and if there will be chemistry between the judges. The last news from Idol is that Kara DioGuardi has probably been fired.
That is a lot of changes for the show. Hopefully none of the changes hurt the show. What do you think?
