Rihanna will transfer over to the big screen to see how well she can act very soon. It has been announced that her first film is going to be an action film called Battleship, due out next spring via Universal Pictures.
According to Variety Magazine the deal was announced yesterday. Rihanna will be working with "True Blood" actor Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch from "Friday Night Lights", with Peter Berg directing. This film is based off of Hasbro's popular navel board game and is expected to begin production soon.
The action film is set on land, at sea and in the skies as the characters battle to save the planet from a strong adversary. Kitsch takes the lead as a navel officer in charge of combat, while Skarsgard plays his brother.
This film is scheduled to be released May 25 2012.
