Jack Tatum, the former all-pro safety for the Oakland Raiders has passed away at age 61.
Nicknamed "The Assassin," The Associated Press states Tatum died of a heart attack Tuesday in Oakland, according to a friend and former Ohio State teammate John Hicks.
Tatum is best known for his hit that paralyzed Darryl Stingley in an NFL preseason game in 1978.
