Jay-Z Signed Willow Smith

Jay-Z has confirmed that he has signed Will Smith's daughter Willow to a new deal on his label, Roc Nation. The rapper/mogul appeared on Ryan Seacrest's show this morning and confirmed rumors that he snatched up Willow, whose song "Whip My Hair" has generated an instant buzz. "We at Roc Nation are excited to work with Willow," Jay-Z told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "She has an energy and enthusiasm about her music that is truly infectious. It's rare to find an artist with such innate talent and creativity at such a young age. Willow is about to embark on an incredible journey and we look forward to joining her as she grows in all aspects of her career." Her parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were also excited about their daughter's new recording home. "After meeting with several record companies, it was clear that Jay-Z, Ty Ty, Jay Brown and the Roc Nation staff was the unquestionable choice," Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "Their passion for Willow combined with their boundless vision and artistic integrity made Roc Nation the perfect home for our little girl."

Beyonce Shut Down Complaint Lawsuit

Beyonce paid a disgruntled man a settlement in the thousands after he filed a lawsuit over the filming of her video "Why Don't You Love Me".

According to TMZ Reports:

We just spoke with Philip Markowitz - the guy who sued Beyonce and her production crew back in May for allegedly wreaking havoc in his neighborhood - and dude told us he just scored a 5-figure settlement to drop the case.

The trouble began when Beyonce used a home in the Hollywood Hills to shoot a music video for the song "Why Don't You Love Me" ... and the crew allegedly trespassed onto Markowitz's driveway.

Markowitz tells us, "I'm happy with the settlement, but this lawsuit shouldn't have happened in the first place."

He adds, "They set up on my property without asking and [the settlement] should send a notice to other production companies that they need to respect the rights of property owners.

This does show that it is not that hard to ask permission to use some of their property. That way nobody ends up have to pay in the long run.

Halle Berry Moves On

Halle Berry, 44, has been spotted cozying up with her Dark Tide costar Olivier Martinez, 44, in his hometown of Paris. The two have been seen smooching and exploring the city, embracing a Hollywood-style romance straight out of a movie.

"It was the classic 'I'm going to kiss you here in the dark corner' move," an onlooker tells PEOPLE of Berry and Martinez's romantic romp. "And she was waiting to be kissed."

The duo spent Sunday afternoon combing through the streets arm in arm, taking in a pit stop at the Paris flea market.

"They had their arms around each other as they walked" an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They were both smiling and laughing. Their body language was very flirtatious. They definitely seemed like a couple - absolutely looked like more than friends."

Another Oil Spill

The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating an oil and gas platform explosion Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico west of the recent catastrophic BP oil spill.

Mariner Energy's Vermilion Rig 380 exploded about 90 miles south of Vermilion Bay, off Louisiana about 10:30 am., Thursday, U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Bill Colclough said on CNN.

U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Casey Ranel said there were seven helicopters, two airplanes and four cutters in the area to rescue the crew, Bloomberg reported.

Thirteen crew members were on the rig and have all been accounted for, the spokesman said.

Brandy To Be On Dancing With The Stars

She is so excited to do the show. Here is what Brandy had to say:

Kendra Wilkinson Is A Freak

Kendra Wilkinson has a keen eye for Hollywood beauty. The former Playboy Playmate gushed to our spy about Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce at Svedka's BartonBotCamp at David Barton Gym. Wilkinson said she "loves Johansson's legs and lips because she has sexiness without trying." And she finds Beyonce's butt so nice she "wants to just bite it!" The pinup also said her own parts are reserved for Philadelphia Eagles Hank Baskett and she's nicknamed her legs "Hank's happy trail."

How Stupid Can You Be

T.I. and his wife Tiny got arrested for possession of a controlled substance. That controlled substance was Ecstasy.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested because cops claim they found what appeared to be ecstasy in their car.

T.I. and "Tiny" were arrested on the Sunset Strip after making an illegal U-turn. Cops say they smelled marijuana, conducted a search and found a controlled substance.

Initial reports tried to say they had cups of that Sizzurp in the ride but we're now told that the substance was allegedly ecstasy. Law enforcement sources call it a "small amount." The pills are being tested.

This is so dumb! He hasn't even been out of jail long. Six months out of jail and now a chance to go back. What happened to all this talk about how he has changed. Fine if you want to do that stuff with your wife ok, but don't do something illegal that will get you noticed by cops. Or how about this don't leave the house with any of that stuff.
